About the GDS Transformation Programme

Government is building digital services that are simpler, clearer and faster to use.

The Government Digital Service (GDS) Transformation Programme is leading the digital transformation of government by redesigning and rebuilding 25 exemplar services by March 2015.

Working with 8 different departments and a range of agencies across the UK, we're going to make 25 high-volume government services Digital By Default and improve digital skills and expertise in the departments and agencies responsible.

We aim to deliver secure, high quality digital services that focus on user needs and are so good that all who can use them prefer to.

You can follow our progress and learn about the exemplars' journeys from discovery to live on this blog.

If so, we'll alert the GDS team responsible for fixing the tool, transaction or issue and tell the user this has been done.
